Weed control
How does weed control work?
The particles in C-I-L® GOLFGREEN™ Bio Weed & Feed are coated with two liquid weed control products that work like growth stimulants, causing weeds to outgrow their roots. When the particles land on weed leaves, the liquid weed control is transferred into the weed. For best results, water your lawn first or apply when morning dew is present so the particles will stick to the weeds. Only actively-growing weeds can be controlled. Weeds that sprout from seed after you apply C-I-L® GOLFGREEN™ Lawn Fertilizer With Weed Control and weeds that are treated during cool, early spring weather will not be controlled. If weeds sprout after applying C-I-L® GOLFGREEN™ Lawn Fertilizer With Weed Control, treat with Lawn WeedOut™ Ready-To-Use or Lawn WeedOut™ Attach & Spray (only available in Alberta, British Columbia and Newfoundland), or Green Earth® Weed & Grass Killer.
What type of product should I use?
When most of your lawn is infested with weeds, an application of C-I-L® GOLFGREEN™ Bio Weed & Feed will help bring weeds back under control.
If weeds are infesting only parts of your lawn, treat those areas with Lawn WeedOut™ Attach & Spray or Green Earth® Weed & Grass Killer. Then feed entire lawn with C-I-L® GOLFGREEN™ Lawn Fertilizer.
If your lawn is thick and healthy with only occasional weeds, then spot-treat with Lawn WeedOut™ Ready-To-Use (only available in Alberta, British Columbia and Newfoundland) or Green Earth® Weed & Grass Killer.
