In a constant effort to offer quality products that meet or exceed the highest industry standards, Modugno-Hortibec has obtained accreditation from the OMRI and is a member of the Canadian Sphagnum & Peatmoss Association. This certification underscores Modugno-Hortibec’s respect of organic production norms and their commitment towards preserving the environment.

OMRI is a nonprofit organization created to benefit the organic community and the general public. Its primary mission is to publish and disseminate generic and specific (brand name) lists of materials allowed and prohibited for use in the production, processing, and handling of organic food and fiber. OMRI also conducts scientific research and education on the use of materials by the organic industry.

The logo ensures adherence to the strict environmental guidelines set out by the Canadian Sphagnum Peat Moss Association. CSPMA members harvest the peat in a sustainable manner and are committed to returning harvested bogs to functioning wetlands when harvesting is complete.
